Our Opportunity

We are seeking a Managing Geotechnical Engineer to join our Civil Engineering Practice in Los Angeles, CA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing geotechnical engineering projects, working closely with clients to understand their needs and delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough analyses of geotechnical and civil engineering systems to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Evaluate construction claims related to ground conditions, earthwork, and earth structures, providing expert opinions and recommendations.
  • Develop conceptual designs for the repair and restoration of geotechnical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Lead project teams to execute project deliverables, including field investigations, analyses, and written and oral presentations of findings.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities and growing our presence in the market.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Civil Engineering specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university, or M.S. in Civil Engineering with 10+ years of experience.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and managing client relationships, with a proven track record of business growth.
  • Attention to detail, dedication to quality and accuracy, and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals or conference proceedings, or demonstrated leadership in geotechnical professional societies.
  • Past record of excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to clients and stakeholders.
  • Current licensed professional civil engineer in at least one state, with the ability to become licensed in multiple other states.
