SAIC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide technical support to Naval Underwater Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWC) in Newport, Rhode Island.

We are currently looking for a highly skilled individual to join a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform investigations and analyses of undersea vehicles and devices
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to design and fabricate electrical and electronic test devices
  • Reverse engineer systems and components to determine functionality and identify parameters for viable counter-solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
  • Two or more years of experience in electrical engineering or related field
  • US Citizenship and active Secret Clearance with willingness to submit for Top Secret
  • Submarine radio room experience

Desirable Skills:

  • PCB design with design tools such as Altium and/or KiCad
  • Embedded systems (microcontrollers, microprocessors, FPGAs, etc)
  • Modeling and analysis techniques
  • Analog/digital circuitry
  • Ability to read and create schematics
  • MatLab programming ability in C++

SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
