About the Role:

As an Academic Advisor, you will work closely with students to provide guidance and support in navigating their college studies. You will engage students holistically, considering their career choices, curriculum options, majors, course planning, and personal needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet with students to discuss their academic plans and provide guidance on course selection and registration.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of college policies and procedures, as well as support services available on campus.
  • Provide referrals to community services and academic support resources as needed.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in academic advising.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in higher education, advising, counseling, or related student services.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with students with diverse needs and backgrounds.
