About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Utility Engineer to join our team at Trilon Group. As a key member of our infrastructure consulting firm, you will play a critical role in protecting water quality, promoting environmental sustainability, and ensuring the safety of our communities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Apply advanced analytical skills to evaluate project feasibility and develop innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with our Office Leader to prepare project scopes and estimates, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including design and permitting schedules, to ensure seamless execution.
  • Prepare or direct the team in creating detailed calculations, construction cost estimates, designs, reports, permit applications, construction plans, and specifications.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and regulatory agencies to facilitate approval of permit applications and plans.
  • Conduct construction observations to monitor progress and ensure adherence to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards.
  • Perform project close-out duties and conduct debriefs with the team.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental/Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Registration (PE) or ability to achieve license.
  • 4-8 years of experience in utility engineering, wastewater treatment, or water treatment.
  • Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history.
  • Experience with infrastructure design and permitting.
  • Strong management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, job tracking, client interaction, and staff management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
