Job Overview

This role is essential in assisting the project team and project leader with the creation, evaluation, and comprehension of utility sales and load forecasts, including annual Business Plan forecasts, Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) scenarios, and various analyses. The incumbent will also be responsible for training and guiding junior team members while collaborating with cross-functional groups to achieve strategic objectives and enhance Entergy's shareholder value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, track, and improve forecasting models for hourly electric load (MW), monthly electricity sales (kWh), and monthly natural gas sales (CCF).
  • Analyze customer behavior to identify factors influencing electricity consumption, anticipate changes over time, and incorporate potential impacts into forecasts.
  • Conduct analyses and present findings to senior management and project teams, emphasizing key drivers and critical insights.
  • Create forecast scenarios for Integrated Resource Plans (IRPs) or other studies. Perform ad hoc, summary, trend, and statistical analyses, communicating results as necessary.
  • Assist with regulatory obligations, including RFIs, regulatory hearings, and other external information requests.
  • Gather market intelligence to enhance forecasts and analyses.
Minimum Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
    • MBA is preferred.
Experience
  • Financial Analyst II: 2-4 years of relevant experience in banking, finance, project development, or related fields.
  • Financial Analyst III: 4-6 years of relevant experience in banking, finance, project development, or related fields.
  • Financial Analyst Lead: 3-5 years of relevant experience in banking, finance, project development, or related fields.
  • Financial Analyst, Sr Lead: 4 or more years of relevant experience in banking, finance, project development, or related fields.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong analytical capabilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Curiosity and the ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative in work assignments.
  • Ability to perform effectively under time constraints to meet deadlines accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, across all organizational levels, including senior management.
