Position Overview
The Cloud Operations Engineer will implement methodologies that merge software development with IT operations to enhance the development lifecycle and ensure the continuous delivery of secure, high-quality software. This role involves collaboration with diverse teams in the planning, analysis, design, and construction of enterprise-wide information systems. It is a hands-on role that provides tools and technical planning to assist teams in rapidly developing highly secure software.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and sustain a comprehensive understanding of the applications, systems, and database architecture.
  • Contribute innovative ideas, take ownership of project timelines and deliverables, and assist in scaling operations.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of DevOps toolchains.
  • Provide expertise in various risk assessments while working in an Agile environment, with a thorough understanding of the complete software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to create, implement, and instill DevOps principles, processes, and culture.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for automation and tooling in DevOps initiatives by offering practical, relevant insights and recommendations.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure and services is essential.
  • Familiarity with containerized environments, microservices, and serverless architectures.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking architecture and security protocols.
  • Exposure to one or more programming languages such as Python or Bash.
  • Ideal candidates will have experience building environments with Terraform from the ground up.
  • Experience in writing Helm charts and Dockerfiles.
  • A collaborative team player with a strong ability to learn quickly and solve problems.
  • Preferred: Experience with Certificates, Secrets, and Key Stores.
