Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic evaluations to ensure patient safety.
- Prepare comprehensive health histories and perform detailed physical examinations.
- Administer pre-anesthetic medications and obtain informed consent for anesthesia procedures.
- Deliver high-quality preoperative and intraoperative care to patients.
- Manage all necessary equipment and supplies for anesthesia administration, ensuring safety checks are performed.
- Select and administer appropriate anesthetics and related medications.
- Oversee airway management and perform peripheral venous catheter insertions.
- Utilize current standards for non-invasive monitoring throughout the anesthesia process.
- Assess patient responses during recovery from anesthesia and provide necessary interventions.
- Facilitate post-anesthesia evaluations to monitor patient stability and recovery.
- Initiate respiratory support as needed to maintain adequate ventilation.
- Administer pharmacological or fluid support for cardiovascular stability during recovery.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with current state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
- Board certification from the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists is required.
- Possession of a valid medical practice license in any U.S. jurisdiction.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a CRNA is preferred.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association are mandatory.
