Role: Bilingual (Spanish) Monitor for the Child and Adult Care Food Program

Clarendon Early Education Services, Inc. is in search of a reliable, proactive, and enthusiastic individual with outstanding interpersonal skills. The role of the home monitor involves assessing and educating a diverse range of Family Child Care providers in the local community. This position encompasses the oversight of home evaluations for licensed Family Child Care Providers (FDCH) engaged in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), ensuring compliance with program standards and nutritional integrity.

The home monitor acts as a vital connection between the sponsoring organization and the FDCH provider, ensuring adherence to CACFP guidelines. Successful monitors exhibit proficiency in the following areas:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training and technical support to providers.
  • Conduct mandatory onsite meal service evaluations three times per year.
  • Communicate policies and procedures of the sponsoring organization to providers.
  • Engage in professional development and maintain appropriate conduct.
  • Stay informed about current CACFP regulations through regular staff meetings.
  • Assist with menu assessments and other administrative tasks related to the Food Program as required.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: Certification in human services or a related field is preferred; two years of relevant experience may be considered as a substitute.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese is required.
  • Exceptional observation and writing abilities in both English and Spanish.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and enforce state and federal regulatory standards.
  • Possession of a reliable vehicle is necessary for serving the designated areas.
  • Prior experience with the CACFP is advantageous.
