Role: Bilingual (Spanish) Sponsor Monitor for the Child and Adult Care Food Program

Clarendon Early Education Services, Inc. is in search of a reliable, proactive, and enthusiastic individual with outstanding interpersonal skills. The role of the home monitor involves evaluating and training a diverse array of Family Child Care providers in the local community. This position encompasses overseeing home assessments for licensed Family Child Care Providers (FDCH) engaged in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) while ensuring adherence to program accountability and nutritional standards.

The home monitor acts as a vital connection between the sponsoring organization and the FDCH provider, ensuring compliance with CACFP guidelines. Successful sponsor monitors exhibit proficiency in the following areas:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training and technical support to providers.
  • Conduct mandatory onsite meal service evaluations three times a year.
  • Communicate the policies and procedures of the provider sponsoring organizations.
  • Engage in professional development and maintain professional conduct.
  • Stay informed about current CACFP regulations through quarterly staff meetings.
  • Assist with menu evaluations and other administrative tasks related to the Food Program as required.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: Certification in human services or a related field is preferred; two years of relevant experience may be considered as a substitute.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese.
  • Exceptional observation and writing abilities in both English and Spanish.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and enforce state and federal regulatory standards.
  • Possession of a reliable vehicle and willingness to serve families in the designated areas.
  • Prior experience with CACFP is advantageous.
