Role of a Certified Medication Technician (CMT)
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: The main responsibility of this role is to assist in the administration of medications to residents as prescribed by the attending physician, under the guidance of the physician and the Wellness Director, while adhering to established nursing standards, the policies and procedures of the facility, and state regulations. You may also be required to perform duties as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) as needed; please refer to the CNA job description for more details.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of six months of experience working with elderly populations.
- Current state medication certification or licensure as mandated.
- Current CPR certification or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days.
