Role Summary

The Visual Merchandising Assistant Leader is instrumental in partnering with the Store Leader to meet store objectives, which include outstanding customer service, achieving sales goals, managing expenses, preventing losses, and ensuring effective merchandising displays. Your primary focus will be on delivering an exceptional customer experience, sharing product insights, and maintaining a tidy and welcoming store atmosphere. Visual Merchandising Leaders play a vital role in enhancing visual presentation, seeking creative inspiration, and fostering ongoing improvements.

Team Development

  • Creates a customer-focused team culture by driving sales and anticipating customer needs.
  • Demonstrates exemplary customer service by establishing the benchmark for service standards.
  • Provides constructive feedback to team members, recognizing and rewarding achievements to improve retention.
  • Ensures team accountability for meeting financial goals and performance metrics.
  • Effectively resolves conflicts and coaches team members in line with company policies.
  • Empowers associates by involving them in decision-making processes.
  • Encourages open communication and feedback among team members to identify solutions.
  • Supports team member development through tailored approaches, aligning skills with responsibilities and offering growth opportunities.
  • Builds team commitment through support, relationship-building, and acknowledgment of individual contributions.
  • Leads by managing change effectively and overcoming challenges.
  • Recommends actions regarding team member hiring, promotions, and separations based on performance evaluations.
  • Collaboratively conducts training sessions for sales associates and keyholders.

Operational Excellence

  • Regularly meets or exceeds store and personal performance targets, contributing to overall success.
  • Plans, implements, and maintains visual displays and seasonal updates.
  • Coordinates window displays and oversees the placement of seasonal decorations.
  • Manages product restocking and mannequin styling and design.
  • Oversees the store ambiance, including scent, music, and layout.
  • Effectively organizes workflow through strategic planning and delegation.
  • Completes tasks within designated time frames and follows opening/closing protocols.
  • Adheres to loss prevention strategies and reports incidents to protect company assets.
  • Maintains clear communication with the executive team.
  • Capable of lifting and transporting items weighing up to 30 pounds.

Visual Presentation

  • Utilizes weekly reports to track and analyze business performance, enhancing sales strategies.
  • Interprets corporate visual guidelines in collaboration with the Store Leader and District Leader.
  • Works alongside the Visual District Leader to manage visual displays, window presentations, and overall aesthetic appeal.
  • Maintains awareness of brand aesthetics and their relevance to the store environment, ensuring effective communication with the team.
  • Oversees new product placements and provides insights on product performance to the Visual District Leader.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Retail Management.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Physical capability to perform various tasks, including prolonged standing, sitting, reaching, kneeling, and lifting up to 30 pounds regularly.
