Job Title: District Sales Representative-Merchandiser

Job Summary:

Spectrum Brands is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven District Sales Representative-Merchandiser to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for servicing our Home & Garden products at national big-box accounts, including The Home Depot and Lowe's home improvement centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed sales goals by maintaining store presentation standards through resets, fixture installation, store sets, retrofits, inventory reconciliation, shelf maintenance, display maintenance, and POP installation.
  • Plan store visits for efficiency and effectiveness, executing planograms/maps first and identifying opportunities to drive margin growth.
  • Build relationships with store management, maximizing customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately.
  • Place replenishment orders with store management to increase volume and contribute to bottom-line sales.
  • Identify opportunities for incremental display space to drive volume goals and assist retail consumers with the selection and purchase of Home and Garden products.
  • Conduct pricing surveys and track orders to determine if any additional selling opportunities are present.
  • Ensure compliance with performance expectations and all company values and policies, including safety, attendance, store presence, and travel.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or additional training beyond high school preferred.
  • One to two years of previous sales and/or retail experience; previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, manage time and competing priorities, and demonstrate a high level of initiative and sense of urgency to exceed customer expectations.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation daily.
  • PC skills, including spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software.

Work Environment:

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Ability to climb ladders and frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
