We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Community Integration Specialist to join our team at The Arc of Prince George's County. As a Community Integration Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve their desired lifestyles and increase their levels of independence, productivity, and social/physical inclusion into the community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement person-centered plans to support individuals in achieving their goals and increasing their independence.
- Provide support and guidance to individuals in daily living skills, such as money management, shopping, and community interactions.
- Assist individuals in identifying and pursuing their interests and passions, and provide opportunities for them to engage in community activities and experiences.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized plans that promote community integration and participation.
- Provide transportation and supervision to individuals in community settings, and ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social work, psychology, or special education.
- At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and community partners.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing person-centered support.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- A competitive salary range of $19.66-$21.15 per hour.
