Position Overview

• Conducts CT Scan procedures in accordance with protocols set by the Radiologist.

• Operates the CT scanner during interventional radiology procedures within the CT department.

• Ensures a clean work environment: Reports equipment maintenance issues, monitors supply levels, and addresses deficiencies.

• Follows all Infection Prevention protocols, utilizing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Maintains current licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Engages in ongoing departmental training and stays updated on best practices.

• Exhibits professional conduct and a positive demeanor through respectful communication with colleagues and patients.

• Recognizes the importance of delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Participates in clinical activities, assisting with patient flow and enhancing the efficiency of Radiology Transport.

• Adheres to timekeeping regulations: Avoids unauthorized entries and complies with departmental procedures, including life safety, fire, hazardous waste, Radiation Safety, and Infection Prevention standards.

• Attends staff meetings and daily briefings to remain informed about departmental updates.

• Participates in departmental on-call and holiday duties.

Required Experience

Experience in General, Trauma, and Emergency Department settings is essential; experience with Pediatrics and Cardiac cases is preferred but not mandatory.

Educational Qualifications

Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technologist Program is required. Enrollment in or completion of a recognized Computed Tomography program is preferred.

Licensure and Certification Requirements

Current BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) is mandatory.
Current ARRT License (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) is required.
Current NJ-RADTECH License (Radiologic Technologist) is necessary.
ARRT Board Certification in Computed Tomography is preferred; if not obtained at the time of hire, it must be achieved within 12 months of employment.
