Role: Executive Creative Director

As the Executive Creative Director (ECD), you will be a pivotal leader within the agency, steering the creative vision across various teams to develop and deliver award-winning solutions. Your role involves enhancing the output of the creative team while ensuring seamless integration across diverse disciplines.

You will continue to produce exceptional work personally, which is both expected and essential, but the true fulfillment comes from nurturing your teams' talents and ideas, making them clearer, stronger, and more enjoyable.

Your relationship with clients will be robust, characterized by open communication and collaboration. Your positive demeanor will enable you to navigate challenges and deliver outstanding creative solutions even in demanding circumstances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspire and elevate creative leadership across all levels within the agency.
  • Provide strategic guidance to enhance the quality of creative work.
  • Foster and maintain a vibrant culture within the creative department and the agency as a whole.
  • Present innovative concepts and deliverables to both current and potential clients.
  • Drive continuous improvements in creative processes and methodologies.
  • Align creative objectives with the overarching goals of both the agency and clients.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Creative on staffing strategies and team structure.
  • Lead creative initiatives on multiple accounts, particularly as co-lead on primary CPG clients, delivering culturally relevant and industry-recognized work that addresses client challenges.
  • Oversee and guide creative teams under your leadership.
  • Engage regularly with strategy, account management, and media teams to foster integrated thinking.
  • Mentor and support writers and art directors across all assigned projects.
  • Curate and collaborate with creative vendors and production partners.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in team leadership and development.
  • 15+ years of experience in the agency or brand landscape.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as advertising, journalism, communication, marketing, or design.
  • A diverse portfolio that demonstrates a keen eye for strategy, design, and copy across various project types and media.
  • Experience leading and collaborating within integrated agency teams and with clients across multiple sectors.
  • Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital and social media platforms.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset that brings energy, perspective, and a relentless drive to our '40-year-old start-up.'
