Mixer Team Lead Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mixer Team Lead to join our team at Dessert Holdings Inc. in Le Center, MN. As a Mixer Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the mixing production of a team of 6-9 individuals, ensuring the production of safe and quality food while following production standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate department activities to ensure timely completion of department and company production goals.
  • Communicate effectively with the Supervisor and team members to address any potential outages or shortcomings.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement, Safety, and Quality initiatives to drive process improvements and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Ensure all required departmental checks are performed and downtime is properly tracked.
  • Support autonomous maintenance through the use of CID and CL standards.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis and Investigations to identify and address safety incidents, production downtime, food safety and quality issues, and food waste.
  • Provide feedback on the creation of work procedures related to Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
  • Promote Food Safety by following all standards and guidelines.
  • Complete daily production records and reports.
  • Conduct routine audits to ensure processes are followed and job rotation and breaks are done at regular intervals.
  • Assume responsibility when the Supervisor is absent and ensure the correct inventory of supplies is present for the required jobs to be performed.
  • Provide training and oversight to Mixers on complex recipes and ensure job rotation and breaks are done at regular intervals.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of Manufacturing experience, preferably in food production
  • Bilingual/Spanish (speaking, writing, and reading)
  • Resourceful and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable transportation and a flexible schedule
  • Self-motivated individual
