Position Overview:

The role involves supporting the daily financial activities of CDS Life Transitions while assisting the Senior Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in strategizing the accounting needs of the organization.
  • Develop and execute strategies to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement processes.
  • Implement recognized purchasing practices to fulfill procurement needs.
  • Source and procure essential materials, supplies, and services, ensuring alignment with internal specifications and optimizing costs through effective negotiation.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of procedures aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Review and represent various reports generated from financial operations.
  • Ensure timely preparation of financial budgets and forecasts.
  • Manage raw material and inventory reconciliation tasks.
  • Prepare quarterly financial reports as needed.
  • Maintain and update the pricing list for services and products.
  • Calculate costs for external entities as required.
  • Analyze and prepare monthly profit and loss statements by product line.
  • Calculate subcontract fees for the organization.
  • Evaluate new product purchases to confirm specifications, pricing, and availability, and communicate relevant information to department managers.
  • Provide customer service and support to major accounts.
  • Handle order entry and process quotations efficiently.
  • Perform all responsibilities with accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with computerized accounting systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Capable of working independently and inspiring others.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Capability to reach above shoulder level.
  • Ability to turn and twist the upper body as needed.
  • Skill in repetitive hand actions and fine manipulation for keyboarding tasks.
