Job Summary

Assist the supervisor in overseeing all aspects of production for the shift, ensuring timely completion of work and providing backup support when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the supervisor in directing production activities and ensuring work is completed on time.
  • Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process.
  • Provide support to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Record and report production data as required.
  • Fulfill various roles as needed, including machine operator, sweeper, scheme builder, and pallet builder.
  • Act as supervisor when the supervisor is unavailable.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and computer skills.
  • Attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to work under pressure of time constraints.
  • Strong motivational and direction abilities.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and occasionally more than 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods, with frequent bending, twisting, and pulling.
  • Flexibility with scheduled work hours.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Assist with supervising 20-25 employees, carrying out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. This includes training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
