About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of Cybersecurity to join our team at Carrier. As a key member of our Information Technology department, you will be responsible for leading our cybersecurity function and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity program to protect our organization from cyber threats.
  • Lead a team of cybersecurity professionals to ensure the effective implementation of our cybersecurity strategy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
  • Manage the budget for the cybersecurity function and monitor its effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant government and commercial security and privacy regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in Information Technology or a relevant business/industry sector.
  • 5+ years of experience leading diverse teams, including co-located and remote groups.
  • 5+ years of leadership responsibilities, including strategy and team development.
  • Demonstrated experience and success in senior leadership roles in risk management, cybersecurity, or IT security.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters' degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, such as SOX, HIPAA, and PCI/DSS.
  • Familiarity with common information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001, ITIL, COBIT, and NIST frameworks.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or other similar credentials.
