Software Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software systems to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, and testing.
  • Implement solutions in a web-based environment and integrate them into a microservice cloud-based architecture.
  • Work closely with other software developers to support team in completing necessary software on schedule.
  • Complete work independently and as a part of an Agile team.
  • Solve complex problems through innovative and creative solutions.
  • Collaborate with software designers and/or software engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of software systems.
  • Regularly demonstrate progress to customers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; Masters degree with 0 years; High School diploma with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming, using C++ and/or Java.
  • Experience with Python or Pandas.
  • Experience creating, updating, and querying databases.
  • Data-minded, detail-oriented, communicative, willing to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graph database, such as Neo4j.
  • Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM).
  • JavaScript, REACT.
  • Tableau.
  • Git/GitLab.
  • Agile development methodologies.
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
