We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist I to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide evidence-based occupational therapy evaluation, consultation, and treatment for patients with functional deficits and related impairments.
Responsibilities- Diagnostic Testing: Administer basic and complex diagnostic tests and evaluations to assess patient needs and develop treatment plans.
- Education and Supervision: Teach and supervise graduate occupational therapy students and/or clinical fellows/residents, and develop innovative programs to enhance patient care.
- Evaluation of Care: Analyze results of diagnostic and therapeutic testing to establish patient goals and modify treatment programs, identifying expected patient outcomes and communicating relevant information to promote continuity of care.
- Implementation: Select and apply current and advanced techniques to provide quality and efficient rehabilitative services, providing habilitation/rehabilitation and maintenance of persons with related impairments.
- Outreach and Community Involvement: Serve as a resource to North Carolina government departments and statewide health professionals, presenting at local and state levels, participating in community health screening and events, and developing new clinical programs to meet emerging needs.
- Participation and Quality: Contribute to quality of clinical services through attendance and participation in departmental meetings and in-services, maintaining valid and reliable records of patient procedures and progress, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program.
- Licensure/Certification: Licensed as an occupational therapist in the state of North Carolina.
- Professional Experience: No prior experience required.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
