Job Summary

Hampshire College seeks a highly skilled and experienced Dining Services Manager to lead our front-of-house operations. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences for students, employees, and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all front-of-house operations, including guest services, dining area management, and front-end catering inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the senior director of auxiliary services and executive chef to align front-of-house operations with the overall objectives of the dining program.
  • Make short-term operational decisions in the absence of the senior director of auxiliary services and executive chef, ensuring continuity and smooth functioning of front-of-house activities.
  • Assist in both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, fostering a unified team approach across all aspects of dining services.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in front-of-house operations, preferably in a higher education or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
