Compensation:
$75,000 - $120,000

The specific compensation may vary based on several factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, educational background, and work location.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze detailed engineering schematics to comprehend project scope and necessary services prior to the commencement of commissioning activities.
  2. Examine existing protection schemes in the relevant area to integrate into new designs as needed, focusing on anti-islanding schemes, generator intertie settings, and special protection schemes.
  3. Prior to the initiation of testing, ensure familiarity with current operational schemes to facilitate modifications during outages, construction, and testing phases.
  4. Oversee the revision of relay settings, logic diagrams, operational descriptions, and protection schemes by the commissioning engineers before commencing work with associated equipment.
  5. Develop a comprehensive Commissioning Plan and create documentation forms to record test outcomes.
  6. Collaborate with the Commissioning Engineer to ensure the effective commissioning of all Protection & Control Settings, Automation & Integration Systems, and Network & Security Systems.
  7. Conduct thorough functional testing of the entire system to verify operational compliance with design specifications across all equipment and associated functions.
  8. Manage on-site resources, including the commissioning team and construction contractors, ensuring effective coordination and communication.
  9. Provide regular updates on progress, projections, and scheduling to stakeholders.
  10. Formulate risk mitigation strategies to minimize operational or safety risks to the system and personnel.
  11. Compile all test results, forms, and relevant documentation into a Final Commissioning Report for stakeholder review and approval.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of engineering experience in the relevant field.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
