Job Summary:
The Customer Service Representative will provide exceptional customer service, greet and assist customers with purchasing merchandise, and maintain store stock and cleanliness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Vendor check ins and invoicing
- Greet and interact with customers
- Consult with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise
- Demonstrate and explain merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customers needs
- Answer customers questions about merchandise
- Assist customers with purchase decisions
- Retrieve merchandise from sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations
- Collect payment using the store point of sale system
- Maintain store interior and exterior cleanliness
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent active listening skills
- Excellent sales and customer service skills
- Extensive knowledge of the merchandise sold
- Ability to anticipate customers needs
- Ability to recommend merchandise to customers
- Ability to operate or to quickly learn the stores point-of-sale system
- Ability to manage time accordingly
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times
- Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, twist, reach above head & below knees, squat and safely climb a ladder/step stool
