Job Summary

Galen Medical Group is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in a clinical support role. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our providers in delivering exceptional medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with providers to determine patient needs and assist with providing quality medical care
  • Verify patient information, record medical history, and confirm purpose of visit
  • Prepare patients for examination, perform preliminary physical tests, and report patient history summary
  • Collect data accurately and ensure all information is entered into the patient's medical record
  • Prepare and stock examination and treatment rooms, clean and sterilize instruments, and assist with minor office procedures
  • Schedule outpatient testing, procedures, or surgeries, manage referrals, and perform ancillary testing
  • Provide health education to patients as needed and maintain confidentiality of all patient, medical, financial, and legal information
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Certified Medical Assistant from a nationally accredited institution
  • One year of relative medical assistant experience in a clinical setting (or completion of a Medical Assistant program qualification)
  • Electronic Medical Record experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support certification required
