Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team at Community Residences. As a Residential Instructor, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to promote independence, socialization, and skill-building for clients.
  • Provide direct care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and behavioral interventions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • Monitor and report changes in client behavior, medical conditions, or other relevant information to supervisors and healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as behavioral support, crisis intervention, and client-centered care.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment by demonstrating a commitment to teamwork, communication, and cultural sensitivity.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of experience in human services or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to lift and transfer clients, with or without assistance, as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with a good driving record.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
