Job Title: Junior Access Control and Surveillance Systems InstallerJob Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Junior Access Control and Surveillance Systems Installer to join our team at Softrim LLC. As a key member of our Low-Voltage Construction and Services team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing access control and digital security surveillance systems for our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Install and configure access control hardware, including maglocks, electric strikes, and card readers.
  • Install and configure digital security surveillance hardware, including cameras, digital video recorders, and network video recorders.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on access control and surveillance systems.
  • Document all interactions and troubleshooting steps performed during calls.
  • Record all time and notes for work performed.
  • Collaborate with project teams to prepare for field deployment.
  • Maintain open communication regarding events, outstanding issues, and customer follow-up.
  • Continuously learn and support new technologies used in our client locations.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in access control and surveillance systems installation and maintenance.
  • Ability to safely climb ladders, work on lifts, and lift 50 lbs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid FL driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • English language fluency, Spanish a plus.

Dress Code:

Construction site-ready attire, including Softrim-logoed safety shirt and full-length work slacks/jeans with a belt. Hard hat, safety goggles, and ear protection may be required. Steel-toed work boots. No shorts or pants with holes or rips. Professional personal hygiene and clean clothing are expected.

Work Location:

Company office in Estero, FL, construction job sites, and service areas.

Supervisor:

Director of Low-Voltage Construction and Services.

Employment Terms:

Full-time, Non-Exempt, Hourly. Eligible for benefits and 401(k) after the introductory period. Typical business hours are from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday, excluding company-observed holidays. Local travel and remote work may be required.
