We are excited to announce an opportunity for an intern to become part of our investigative and consulting team within the expanding RR&I practice at Control Risks. This internship is designed for individuals who are either nearing the completion of their undergraduate studies or have recently graduated from an accredited business institution.

This role will be instrumental in executing intricate projects for both domestic and international clients, which will encompass:

  • Investigations related to fraud, corruption, anti-trust issues, and forensic analysis;
  • Risk assessments and compliance evaluations concerning corruption, fraud, and anti-trust;
  • Reviews of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance;
  • Development and evaluation of compliance and anti-fraud programs;
  • Support for various litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in complex forensic accounting investigations and compliance program assessments across diverse sectors, including transaction testing, data analysis, and report generation;
  • Collaborate on multi-jurisdictional projects for global organizations, working alongside colleagues in various locations;
  • Utilize creative problem-solving skills to address challenges;
  • Assist in defining project scopes and managing daily operational tasks.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited business program at the junior or senior level, pursuing a degree in accounting or finance. Graduate students are also encouraged to submit their applications.

We seek individuals who:

  • Thrive in a collaborative team environment;
  • Are eager to learn about the investigation and analysis of financial data and evidence, as well as the summarization of complex financial and business scenarios;
  • Possess fluency in English, with proficiency in Spanish preferred but not mandatory;
  • Have experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel);
  • Are open to travel opportunities.

This internship is structured for a duration of 12 weeks, with flexible start and end dates. Compensation for this position is set at $19 per hour for undergraduate students and $22 per hour for graduate students.
