Responsibilities

  • Apply general principles, theories, and concepts of accounting and tax to assignments such as preparation of journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and automation of processes.
  • Assist with government agency severance tax and royalty returns.
  • Review and process vendor invoices, including determining capital vs expense vs G&A on financial statements.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconciliations as required.
  • Determine appropriate financial authority for invoice approvals (Sarbanes Oxley).
  • Apply an understanding of automation processes and how deeply they integrate into daily work.
  • Responsible for vendor invoice reporting, including discounts and past due invoices.
  • Communicate Devon's procedures for invoicing and payments to vendors and field staff.
  • Prepare and review financial reports as required.
  • Apply and code cash payments as necessary.
