Position Overview:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) specializing in Pediatric Long Term Care operates under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) or Nursing Supervisor. This role is integral to the multidisciplinary approach in delivering comprehensive care and treatment to pediatric patients, while also providing essential clinical support to the medical team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately measure and document vital signs for pediatric patients.
- Administer injections and enemas, and monitor catheter usage.
- Assist patients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing and dressing.
- Evaluate and report any physiological or psychosocial changes in patients' conditions.
- Support physicians during patient visits, including managing front desk operations, scheduling appointments, and maintaining electronic medical records.
- Execute care interventions based on established priorities and treatment plans, adhering to clinic policies and standards.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Utilize clinical judgment to assess and meet the care needs of assigned patients.
- Oversee the safety and functionality of medical equipment and the care environment.
- Administer immunizations as required.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of pediatric pharmacology.

Qualifications:
- Valid LPN/LVN nursing license in the state of practice.
- At least one year of pediatric clinical experience within the last three years is preferred.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification as per client or state requirements.
- Adherence to all relevant professional nursing standards.
- Completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
- Current CPR certification if required.
- Compliance with TB screening requirements.
- Up-to-date health certificate as mandated by contract or state regulations.
- Fulfillment of all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
- Successful completion of new hire training relevant to the position.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
- Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English.
- Basic computer skills are necessary.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
