Job Overview

We are currently looking for an Auger Driller who will oversee daily operations on the drilling rig, manage the drilling team, and ensure that all project objectives are achieved safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will also be responsible for performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on the drilling equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the mobilization and setup of drilling equipment.
  • Coordinate the rigging up of drilling apparatus and liaise with any necessary third-party vendors.
  • Operate the auger rig according to instructions and ensure that all operational targets are met.
  • Supervise the drilling crew effectively.
  • Maintain a detailed driller's log and modify the drilling program as required by site conditions.
  • Communicate with management regarding any changes in status or challenges encountered.
  • Engage with clients on-site in a manner that embodies the company’s core values.
  • Familiarize oneself with all relevant regulations and compliance standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues with drilling equipment.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess the following skills and knowledge:

  • Fundamental understanding of water well drilling processes.
  • Strong organizational and management skills.
  • Proficient mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Ability to use hands for handling objects, tools, or controls.
  • Capable of standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, and performing various physical activities.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision capabilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work environment typically involves moderate to high noise levels.
  • Position requires outdoor work in various weather conditions.
