Job Overview

We are currently seeking an Auger Driller who will oversee daily operations on the drilling rig, manage the drilling team, and ensure that all project requirements are fulfilled safely and efficiently. This role includes performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on the drilling equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and assist in the mobilization and setup of drilling equipment.
  • Assemble drilling apparatus and organize any necessary third-party services.
  • Operate the auger rig as directed, ensuring all operational targets are achieved.
  • Supervise a team of drilling personnel.
  • Maintain a detailed driller's log and adjust the drilling strategy as needed based on borehole conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding any changes in status or challenges encountered.
  • Engage with on-site clients in a manner that reflects the company’s core values.
  • Familiarize oneself with all relevant regulations and compliance standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues with drilling equipment.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess the following skills and knowledge:

  • Fundamental understanding of water well drilling processes.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Proficient mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Ability to use hands or fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls.
  • Capability to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work environment may involve moderate to high noise levels.
  • Outdoor work in various weather conditions is expected.
