Residential Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team at Community Residences. As a Residential Instructor, you will play a critical role in creating a safe and supportive living environment for our clients.
The estimated salary for this position is $42,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create a positive learning environment and develop strategies to help clients cope with challenging situations
- Implement treatment plans and individual plans of care based on interdisciplinary team assessments
- Monitor medical, physical, and behavioral changes in clients and report any concerns to supervisors
- Administer medication to clients as prescribed and document administration according to policy
- Maintain the cleanliness of the home and agency vehicle, and report any maintenance needs
- Participate in mandatory training and conferences, and attend all required meetings
Requirements:
- Valid CT driver's license and good driving record
- Associate's Degree preferred with one year experience in the Human Services field
- Training in Physical Management, First Aid, CPR, and Medication Administration
- Good oral and written communication skills, thoroughness, and motivation to improve the quality of life for our clients
