Community Residences is seeking a skilled and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team. As a Residential Instructor, you will be responsible for providing a safe and supportive living environment for individuals in our care.

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week from Saturday to Tuesday, 10pm-8am.

Job Description:

As a Residential Instructor, your primary responsibility will be to create a positive learning environment that fosters independence, self-confidence, and emotional well-being in our clients. You will work closely with the Interdisciplinary Team to develop and implement individualized Treatment Plans, monitor client progress, and provide support and guidance as needed.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a clean and safe living environment, including laundry care and household duties;
  • Assisting clients with daily activities, such as meal preparation and medication administration;
  • Providing transportation to community-based outings and recreational activities;
  • Serving as a role model and mentor, promoting positive values and behaviors;
  • Participating in mandatory training and professional development opportunities;

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates with:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in the Human Services field;
  • An Associate's Degree or higher;
  • Physical Management Training (PMT) certification;
  • First Aid, CPR, and Medication Administration Certification;
  • A valid CT driver's license with a good driving record;
