Position: Fixed Assets Accountant

Location:

Herndon, VA – Initially, this role will require full-time in-office attendance for training, followed by a more flexible work arrangement.


Key Responsibilities

Focus on Fixed Assets:

- Conduct thorough analysis of transactions within the general ledger, particularly for the work in process account.
- Review invoices, ascertain site locations, and accurately document this data in a spreadsheet, including vendor details, equipment names, site information, amounts, and more.
- Perform reconciliations to verify that all imported data aligns correctly.

- Collaborate with network personnel to gather necessary information when it is not readily available from invoices or Salesforce.
- Oversee projects and related invoices, ensuring that invoice data is entered into a spreadsheet to clear projects from the work in process account.

- Utilize Rillion for invoice management – training will be provided on this software.
- Work with iScala as the General Ledger System for transaction uploads – training will also be provided on this software.
- Complete various ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned.


Requirements
- Strong understanding of fixed assets, including the principles behind asset management and monthly depreciation.
- An accounting degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel, including skills in pivot tables, basic spreadsheet creation, formulas, and data importation.
