Accounting and Finance Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting and Finance Professional to join our team at Bohler Engineering. As a key member of our accounting and finance team, you will be responsible for timely and accurate reporting of financial information, as well as maintaining the accuracy of fixed assets subledger and processing monthly depreciation.

Responsibilities:

  • Review bank accounts and perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of entries and closing balances
  • Record cash receipts and cash disbursements for intercompany and other various cash transactions
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Operations team on accounts payable discrepancies
  • Review overhead expenses to ensure adherence with company policies and post any applicable reclass/accrual entries
  • Prepare and record journal entries for payroll
  • Review and maintain balance sheet account schedules on a monthly basis
  • Prepare and distribute month-end financial management reports that analyze trends and performance over time so organizational leaders can make strategic decisions
  • Create financial packages for leadership meetings
  • Prepare and distribute monthly accounts receivable metrics reports
  • Maintain accuracy of fixed assets subledger and process monthly depreciation
  • Compile reports for year-end process to meet external compliance requirements
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
  • Assist management with ad-hoc projects or analyses

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree
  • 1+ years of General Ledger accounting and financial reporting experience
  • Previous experience in a service industry preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Knowledge of financial reporting
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software and Microsoft Office
  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Self-starter and can demonstrate initiative
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
