Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Holiday Companies. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store meets the highest standards of quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Store Operations: Assist the Store Manager in overseeing the overall operations of the store, including managing inventory, controlling expenses, and maintaining a clean and safe store environment.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of employees to achieve sales goals, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that customers receive exceptional service, respond to customer complaints, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise.
  • Financial Management: Assist with financial management, including managing cash handling, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years of retail management experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes in a shift.
  • Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds from ground to waist level.
  • Push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds.
  • Bend at the waist with some twisting up to one hour a shift.
  • Grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands.
