Job Summary:

An OmniSource Human Resources Intern will work closely with the Human Resources team on items pertaining to employee benefits, staffing and retention, employee investigations, and various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in recruiting for hourly and professional positions
  • Assist with onboarding and new hire orientations
  • Assist in the screening of candidates via phone and scheduling interviews for hiring managers
  • Work efficiently in the Applicant Tracking System
  • Communicate effectively with hiring managers on their staffing needs and employee relations
  • Assist employees with benefits

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Holds a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher
  • Strong professional verbal and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team coordination, and the ability to work with all levels of management, clients and vendors
  • Self-driven and able to complete tasks without specific direction
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
