Position Overview

The Building Engineer is essential in ensuring the seamless operation of building systems. This role involves monitoring, maintaining, and repairing various systems including plumbing, electrical, and structural components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, and fire safety systems.
  • Ensure all facility systems comply with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Implement a preventive maintenance program to extend the life of building machinery and systems.
  • Perform emergency repairs as required to maintain operational integrity.
  • Adhere to safety protocols for the handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Inspect systems such as fire alarms and plumbing to verify operational effectiveness.
  • Utilize standard principles and techniques to address routine challenges and tasks.
  • Demonstrate leadership by modeling behaviors aligned with company values.
  • Impact the quality of work within the team through effective collaboration.
  • Work within established procedures to meet objectives and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with relevant experience.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks including lifting and climbing.
  • Understanding of procedures to solve moderately complex issues.
  • Ability to analyze solutions using technical expertise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and an analytical mindset.
  • Advanced mathematical skills for financial calculations.
