Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Resources Specialist to join our team at Loretto. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for assisting our customers with securing government entitlement benefits, including Medicaid, Medicare, and Veterans Administration benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents and family members in securing government entitlement benefits, including Veterans Benefits, Medicaid, and SSI.
  • Complete timely filing of Medicaid, Medicare, and SSI applications on behalf of Loretto customers.
  • Track pending applications to ensure compliance with deadlines and notify the Financial Resources Manager of any identified barriers.
  • Conduct monthly aging reviews to identify residents who may need help with securing entitlement benefits.
  • Issue NAMI notifications to pending applicants and notify the Financial Resources Manager of non-compliance.
  • Serve as a liaison for facility staff in resolving resident financial issues preventing procurement of medical services.
  • Request application for representative payee of residents' social security, SSI, or VA benefits when appropriate.
Requirements
  • Previous knowledge of government entitlement eligibility requirements and working experience in a similar position within a health facility, SNF, and/or Home Health desired.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to compose professional and accurate emails.
  • Proficient with MS Office and able to learn new software rapidly.
