School Psychologist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team at ProCare Therapy. As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and emotional well-being of students in our educational settings.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct individual psychological evaluations to assess students' cognitive, behavioral, and emotional functioning, and develop data-driven recommendations for support.
- Develop and Implement IEPs: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring that each student receives a tailored education plan that meets their unique needs.
- Provide Counseling and Support: Offer counseling and support to students on a variety of issues, including academic concerns, social-emotional problems, and behavioral challenges, promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Consult with Teachers and Staff: Consult with teachers and other school personnel to develop and implement interventions to address students' needs, ensuring that all staff members are equipped to support students' academic and emotional growth.
- Collaborate with Parents and Families: Collaborate with parents and families to provide support and resources, fostering strong relationships and ensuring that students receive consistent support across home and school settings.
- Participate in School-Wide Initiatives: Participate in school-wide initiatives to promote student success and well-being, contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Stay Current with Best Practices: Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in school psychology, ensuring that your skills and knowledge are always current and effective.
- Master's or Doctoral Degree: Hold a Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- State License or Certification: Possess a valid and current state license or certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience in Educational Settings: Have experience working as a School Psychologist in an educational setting, with a strong understanding of state regulations and guidelines pertaining to special education and psychological services in schools.
- Strong Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, and other school personnel.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-informed decisions to support student success.
- Compassion and Empathy: Possess compassion, empathy, and a commitment to student success, with a strong understanding of the importance of creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
