As a Patient Care Aide, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate care to our residents. This entry-level position involves providing direct assistance to residents, completing assigned tasks, and fostering a positive environment within our care community.
Key Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:
- Deliver resident care under the supervision of nursing leadership, assisting with personal hygiene, dining needs, and ensuring all services are conducted with dignity.
- Support daily living activities, utilizing care plans and accurately documenting the care provided.
- Execute assigned restorative tasks, including mobility assistance and transportation to dining and activities.
- Monitor residents' physical and emotional well-being, promptly reporting any changes to nursing staff.
- Measure and assess vital signs, respond to emergency calls, and perform first-aid and CPR if certified.
- Engage in safety protocols, adhere to infection control practices, and report any unsafe conditions.
- Assist with laundry, dining area maintenance, and general cleaning duties as needed.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant course and passing the State Certification test within four months of employment.
- Prior experience in long-term care is advantageous.
- Basic proficiency in care tracking systems.
