Key Responsibilities:
- As a member of our Early Childhood Education (ECE) Team, you will establish meaningful connections with children and collaborate with fellow educators.
- Work closely with the ECE Manager and Coordinator to ensure the program operates smoothly, prioritizing the safety, health, and developmental needs of each child.
- Adhere to the standards set by Adelante Mujeres, state Head Start, and Oregon Childcare Division, along with Hillsboro School District policies.
- Maintain a well-organized, child-centered learning environment that is safe, engaging, and responsive to the developmental needs of children.
- Promote high-quality childcare services that benefit both children and their families.
- Foster positive relationships within the team and maintain the confidentiality of program operations.
- Ensure the upkeep of equipment and supplies, and provide emergency services as a Mandatory First Responder.
Qualifications:

- A strong commitment to the mission of Adelante Mujeres and support for immigrant and BIPOC communities.
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of experience working with children aged 0-5 years.
- A passion for education, social justice, and women's empowerment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
- Experience working with low-income Latino families.
- Ability to implement and enhance educational curricula.
Additional Requirements:
- COVID-19 vaccination and boosters are required, with exceptions for religious or medical reasons.
- Completion of a Criminal Background Registry enrollment letter.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid and Food Handler Certification within the first month of employment.
- Completion of online training in Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect (RRCAN), Safe Sleep, and Introduction to Child Care Health and Safety (ICCHS).
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly pay rate: $21.50.
- Classification: On-call, with hours varying based on program needs.
- Benefits include accrued sick time and prorated paid holidays based on hours worked.
