Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician I

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I to join our team at Veolia North America. As a Maintenance Technician I, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance, lubrication, and minor adjustments on machines and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machines and related equipment
  • Lubricate and perform minor adjustments on machines and related equipment
  • Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical equipment to determine repairs needed
  • Repair and replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing devices
  • Perform facility maintenance and repair, including replacing light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, and damaged glass
  • Operate vehicles for plant operational purposes

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 6-12 months of experience in a related position
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Knowledge of mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret specifications, blueprints, and manuals

Work Environment:

The Maintenance Technician I will spend 100% of their time in the operations environment, with occasional exposure to outdoor and inclement weather. The position requires the ability to work at heights of up to 50 feet and to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
