About the Role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a talented Registered Nurse Resident to join our team in the Post-Surgical Care Floor. As a Nurse Resident, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced nurses and develop your skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Post-Surgical Care Floor, working closely with a coach to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Participate in a residency core curriculum to develop your skills and knowledge in nursing practice.
  • Establish and revise priorities for patient care activities based on acuity of need, patient preference, and resource availability.
  • Initiate and maintain interventions to ensure continuity of safe and effective care for patients.
  • Respond to data indicating risk to individual's health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent the risk.
  • Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
  • Comply with established hospital and department personnel policies.
  • Use communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
  • Document patient information in the medical record according to established guidelines.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
