Unit Description:
Marymount Hospital's 3 East/3 West Complex Medical Care and Neurology unit is committed to delivering exceptional care to patients facing medical challenges such as strokes, seizures, heart failure, COPD, renal failure, and cardiac arrhythmias. As a Registered Nurse Resident, you will become an integral part of our team, engaging in one of the most inclusive and comprehensive training programs available. You will work alongside experienced nurses who are eager to mentor and educate new graduates.

Responsibilities:
- Engage in a residency core curriculum tailored to individual learning needs.
- Deliver direct nursing care under the guidance of a coach, adhering to established policies and protocols.
- Adjust priorities for patient care based on acuity, patient preferences, and resource availability.
- Initiate and maintain interventions to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Respond to health risks and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Seek supervision and assistance when needed.
- Adhere to hospital and departmental personnel policies.
- Utilize effective communication strategies to achieve positive outcomes.
- Document patient care in accordance with established guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- BSN preferred.
Certifications:
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification may be required based on department assignment.
Work Environment:
- Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to function in a high-stress environment and respond appropriately.
Physical Requirements:
- Full range of body motion, including lifting and handling patients.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently.
Personal Protective Equipment:
