About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HSSE Specialist to join our team at Enerpac Tool Group Corp. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) programs, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive HSSE Culture: Promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness within our US manufacturing and corporate teams, developing and implementing company-wide HSSE initiatives.
  • Training and Development: Train new employees on safety, environmental, and security issues, administering the training management system and training matrices.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Ensure tasks are furnished with suitable and sufficient hazard/risk assessments, documented, and communicated.
  • HSSE Planning and Execution: Develop and execute site-specific HSSE plans, including Key Performance Indicator scorecards.
  • Management Systems and Compliance: Develop and improve policies, procedures, and work instructions to reflect changing operational circumstances, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Incident Management and Communication: Lead and participate in incident learning teams, facilitating root cause analysis, and drafting lessons learned reports.
  • Communication and Consultation: Facilitate communication through site and regional HSSE forums/meetings, driving consultation and participation through an active Safety Committee at each site.
  • Compliance and Assurance: Assist with drafting compliance reports, including OSHA, EPA, and DNR documentation, maintaining and implementing a robust Internal Assurance Audit Program.
  • Continuous Improvement: Take an active role in HSSE Management Reviews, performing security assessments and administrative maintenance of the Qualityze Data Management System.
  • Site Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular site walks and support Senior Management with planned Site Inspections.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience obtained through military service.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience as a safety professional, with preferred experience in manufacturing and/or service environments, including nuclear, power generation, oil and gas, and tool rental facilities.
  • Skills: Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, strong communication and reasoning skills, ability to execute multiple tasks to deadlines, detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, independent decision-making and problem-solving abilities, team player in a high-paced corporate environment, good knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations, and understanding of lean tools.
