Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Procurement Specialist who will focus on New Product Introduction. This role involves close collaboration with our Engineering Department to source components for new product launches while also supporting Production needs by sourcing mechanical and electrical assemblies and components. If you have a keen eye for detail, a passion for excellence, and a proactive approach, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of demonstrated success in a similar capacity supporting Production and Engineering.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to cultivate relationships with suppliers.
  • Experience in a low volume, high mix production environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
  • A proactive mindset ready to tackle challenges in a fast-paced setting, with a focus on meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing: Develop and implement top-tier sourcing strategies that ensure supplier quality, enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve lead times while fostering supplier engagement and managing cash flow.
  • Goal Achievement: Utilize your negotiation skills to create and manage formal supplier agreements and buyer memos to fulfill operational objectives, including productivity enhancements and supplier base consolidation.
  • Supplier Collaboration: Engage with supply chain partners to build long-lasting, positive relationships that align with operational goals.
  • Supply Management: Conduct supplier audits and prepare management reports.
  • Organizational Excellence: Maintain meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all transactions and MRP data, including Purchase Orders, RMAs, and Part Master information.
  • Work Environment: This position requires on-site presence during standard business hours.
