Job Title: System Administrator for Energy Management

 

Salary: $75.00/hr

 

Job Description:

The System Administrator for Energy Management will be responsible for providing technical support and performing system administration and maintenance activities to support the Energy Management System (EMS) and its ancillary systems and applications.

This position requires a strong understanding of system administration on Linux/Windows Operating systems and working experience with RDBMS (Oracle/SQL DB).

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of work experience in system administration, preferably with experience in Client EMS Suite or other EMS vendor experience such as Hitachi/ABB, Siemens, OSI, Client PowerOn Reliance.

Additionally, the candidate should have experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)/Inter Control-Center Communication Protocol (ICCP) and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support, system administration, and maintenance of the EMS upgrade systems through various testing cycles
  • Integration of various EMS applications, monitoring, and regular maintenance
  • Performing structured/unstructured testing and logging defects in the defect tracking tool
  • Working closely with business lead, project manager, and technical lead by providing timely updates and feedback
  • Collaborating with EMS vendor and Client development teams to reproduce defects and test fixes
  • Maintaining real-time data collection to support EMS functions
  • Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the EMS systems, applications, and interfaces
  • Participating in EMS Disaster Recovery Drills
  • Testing, certifying, and implementing changes to the EMS Production and Test
