Mental Health Technician Lead

Cognito LLC, a joint venture between Planned Systems International (PSI) and QuarterLine Consulting Services, is seeking a Mental Health Technician Lead to support the ICE Health Services Corps in Taylor, Texas.
The ideal candidate will utilize their skills as a Behavioral Health Technician to provide high-quality healthcare services to individuals in ICE custody. Job Summary
The Mental Health Technician Lead provides comprehensive mental health screenings, patient care management, and facilitates basic psycho-educational groups. This role augments on-site behavioral services, including patient education, segregation wellness checks, sleep checks, behavioral observations, and compliance coaching for medical and mental health patients. The specialist consults with Behavioral Health Providers to monitor patient compliance, promote safety, and patient engagement within an integrated therapeutic care environment.
Main Responsibilities
* Under clinical direction, assists in providing direct services to assigned populations
* Collects health data
* Observes behaviors and conducts wellness checks
* Performs sleep hygiene encounters and checks as directed
* Assists with activities of daily living
* Provides health and general program education and patient support
* Monitors patient safety and risk
* Escorts BH detainees to appointments as required
* Observes patient behaviors during programming and recreation activities
Requirements
* Associate's degree in a behavioral science field
* American Association of Psychiatric Technicians (AAPT) certification at level three within 12 months of hire
* Current BLS for Provider through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
* Two years of experience in a mental health clinic or residential healthcare setting
* Ability to pass background check and drug screen
Compensation and Benefits
